has been retained by an O&G company that is looking for a Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for managing general ledger accounting, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive attitude to support our growing organization. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including journal entries and accruals. Support the month-end and year-end close processes. Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights to management. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare audit schedules. Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Monitor and implement changes in accounting regulations and best practices. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff. Participate in the development and improvement of accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls. Manage fixed assets, prepaids, and other balance sheet accounts. Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4-8 years of relevant accounting experience. O&G industry experience preferred. Seniority level
