Outside Parts Sales Manager role at Kenworth Sales Company. Location: Jerome, ID. Kenworth Sales Company is an award-winning dealer with a long history of growth and a focus on teamwork and customer service. The position involves leading and coaching the Outside Sales force within the designated area, identifying target products, designing and implementing selling strategies to increase sales and gross profits, and supporting the Parts, Service, and Body Shop teams to achieve outside sales goals. Responsibilities
Assist Parts departments to achieve outside sales results (volume, profit, and other goals). Collaborate with Parts, Service, and Body Shop Managers to develop and communicate parts and service sales strategies, product targets, conquest accounts, and customer service goals to generate additional sales opportunities. Assist in development and sales of new corporate product offerings, including scheduling vendor training and joint sales calls for outside sales and customers. Join customer calls with the sales team to evaluate individual salesperson performance. Support Corporate Parts Director and District Managers on Sales Management programs; provide monthly updates to sales spreadsheets and tracking programs. Monitor call reports, assign or re-assign accounts, target accounts, and follow up on progress; assist in developing and implementing business plans. Hire, coach, counsel, and train all Outside Sales staff; assist in developing internal candidates. Identify potential Online Parts Counter customers; train the team and track effectiveness of web-based customer purchases. Design and implement Outside Sales training programs (product knowledge, communication and selling skills, conflict resolution, territory/time management). Travel a minimum of 50% of the time to other locations within the area of responsibility. Maintain communications with District Management and all Corporate Departments; comply with company Employee and Safety Manual. Qualifications
Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel), 10-key calculator; ability to evaluate financial performance. 5 years heavy and medium duty diesel truck parts sales experience with a minimum of 3 years in Outside Sales. Excellent organization and communication skills. Working Conditions
This position involves both sedentary and active work. Part of the shift is at a desk with paperwork and computer work; extensive telephone and correspondence tasks are required. The role requires standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and movement around the dealership; lifting at least 50 lbs daily; extensive travel by car within and outside the state. Noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazards may be present. Benefits
