Windows / Linux Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Windows/Linux Systems Engineer

to manage, maintain, and support our enterprise server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Windows and Linux operating systems, automation, and system security. This role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across hybrid environments. Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain

Windows Server

and

Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)

environments. Manage

Active Directory ,

DNS ,

DHCP ,

Group Policy , and

file/print services . Implement and manage

user authentication ,

permissions , and

access controls . Perform

system upgrades ,

patch management , and

vulnerability remediation . Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, performance bottlenecks, and service outages. Automate routine tasks using

PowerShell ,

Bash , or

Python

scripts. Collaborate with network, security, and DevOps teams to maintain a secure and resilient infrastructure. Configure and maintain

virtualization platforms

( VMware ,

Hyper-V ,

KVM ). Monitor system performance and availability using tools like

Nagios ,

Zabbix , or

SolarWinds . Support backup and disaster recovery solutions. Document system configurations, procedures, and policies. Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of hands-on experience with

Windows Server

(2016/2019/2022) and

Linux

distributions. Strong knowledge of

Active Directory ,

LDAP ,

Group Policy , and

RBAC . Proficiency in

scripting and automation

(PowerShell, Bash, Ansible). Experience with

OnPrem Understanding of

networking fundamentals

(TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls). Familiarity with

security hardening

and

compliance standards . Experience with

monitoring

and

logging

tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Grafana). Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
