Overview
Addison Group has partnered with a publicly traded, global manufacturing company in search of a Staff Accountant. You’ll take ownership of key accounting areas, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and serve as a technical resource within the team. This role requires GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments. Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly and quarterly close process Analyze and interpret financial results to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement Create accurate financial reports and statements Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure they follow accounting rules Handle accounting for fixed assets, costs, and intercompany transactions Work with other teams to gather and verify financial information Support audits by preparing necessary documents Help maintain internal controls and compliance with regulations Look for ways to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency Collaborate with finance and operations teams on accounting issues Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required 2+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills CPA (or CPA-eligible) preferred Experience in public accounting and/or corporate environments Familiarity with large-scale ERP systems a plus Why This Role
