StevenDouglas has been retained to identify an Accounting Manager for an established and growing $140M private equity owned manufacturing company.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional with manufacturing industry experience who wants an opportunity to fast-track their career growth.
Responsibilities
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
Partner with operations and supply chain teams to monitor variances, yields, scrap, and absorption rates
Lead annual cost roll processes and ensure accurate product costing and margin analysis
Collaborate with plant finance teams, operations managers, and supply chain leaders to provide financial insight that supports business decisions
Drive efficiency in close processes through automation, standardization, and optimization of workflows
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or consumer industrial sectors
Knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost analysis
Proficiency and comfort using ERP systems
Local candidates only with the ability to work a hybrid schedule in the global HQ office located in Des Plaines, IL.
