Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional
Special Education ABA Teacher
with an SEI Endorsement who is highly qualified and knowledgeable to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. This is an exciting opportunity for teachers who desire to serve where their efforts matter. In BPS, teachers and leaders are committed to high expectations for achievement, equal access to instruction, academic proficiency for all students, and closing achievement gaps among subgroups. BPS supports creativity, innovation, and respects teachers' skills and abilities. Reports To: Principal/Head of School Responsibilities Implement district learning goals aligned with state frameworks, including identifying access points for student portfolio development. Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays to ensure understanding and progress in the general curriculum. Write and implement goals based on student IEPs and provide regular progress reports. Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum and analyze student work for assessments like MCAS Alternative. Collaborate with staff to support student modifications. Assist students transitioning to adult living services when appropriate. Core Competencies:

Communicating Content Knowledge: Demonstrate mastery, enthusiasm, and real-world connections. Equitable & Effective Instruction: Differentiate instruction, engage students, and foster a respectful environment. Cultural Proficiency: Respect diverse backgrounds and create an inclusive environment. Parent/Family Engagement: Build collaborative relationships with families. Professional Reflection & Collaboration: Reflect on practice, seek feedback, and contribute to a learning community. Qualifications - Required Bachelor's degree. Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities for the appropriate grade level. SEI Endorsement or ESL License at the appropriate level. Meet all licensing and qualification standards. Authorization to work in the U.S. by start date. Qualifications - Preferred Experience in urban schools. Degree in Special Education. Fluency in one of BPS's official languages (Spanish, Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Somali). Certification in subject area and in Moderate Disabilities and/or ESL preferred. Terms:
