Fluids Analyst II - Lunar Permanence role at Blue Origin. The team designs, analyzes, builds, tests, integrates, delivers, and operates fluids and propulsion subsystems on Lunar landers as part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Moon landers and related products. Responsibilities
Generate and run thermos-fluids models of cryogenic propellant in spacecraft Provide guidance on optimizing hardware configuration, mission concepts (conops) and control logic Quantitatively evaluate alternative trade studies and provide recommendations Support the complete life cycle of the Transporter vehicle from initial definition through in-flight operation Collaborate with a cross-functional team to advance the state of the art of in-space cryogenic fluid management Qualifications
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field 2+ years of experience in thermal fluids analysis and mechanical component design Thermal Desktop experience Experience with first-order hand and Excel-level calculations for fluids analysis Desired
Advanced engineering degree CFD experience (ANSYS Fluent and FLOW3D preferred) Experience analyzing cryogenic, two-phase liquid systems Experience providing design feedback for iteration and optimization Process automation experience using scripting (VBA, Matlab, Python, FORTRAN, etc.) Special Mentions
Relocation provided Occasional travel up to 15% of the time 1st Shift: 8am – 5pm Interviews will include a technical assessment Compensation
