Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer (Software) at the level 3 or 4 to support a Ground program within the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization, Integrated National Systems Business Unit (INS). The role involves contributing to the design, development, integration, verification, and sustainment of system-level solutions in collaboration with program and customer personnel. This position requires on-site work at one of the following sites: Morrisville, North Carolina; Fairfax, Virginia; or Linthicum, Maryland. Responsibilities

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyzes at all levels of total system products (concept through disposal) and translates customer requirements into hardware and software specifications within technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Maintains up-to-date operations procedures and captures lessons learned from real-time performance; develops new procedures as required; interfaces with program and customer personnel. Demonstrates strong understanding of software development and contributes to model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and Cameo tooling guidance as applicable. Qualifications

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application (US Citizenship required) Ability to obtain and succeed a CI polygraph Completed STEM degree (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) Level 3 (Principal): 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's, 3 years with Master's, 1 year with PhD Level 4 (Sr Principal): 8 years with Bachelor's, 6 years with Master's, 4 years with PhD Experience with software systems design; MBSE and Cameo; JIRA; decomposing requirements to subsystems; and creating acceptance criteria Preferred Qualifications

Favorable CI polygraph adjudication Location and Schedule

This position is on-site and does not support remote or hybrid work. The role may be located at Morrisville, NC; Fairfax, VA; or Linthicum, MD. Most NG sites offer a 9/80 work schedule or other flexible options to be determined upon hire. Compensation

Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $165,500.00; Secondary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $206,000.00. The final offer is determined by the scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Long-term incentives may apply for certain leadership roles. Company Information
