ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors. POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for an organized Accounts Payable Manager to provide strong leadership to our accounts payable department and to ensure that the department runs smoothly. The Accounts Payable Manager's responsibilities include maintaining accurate records regarding payments to suppliers and training staff members, ensuring proper timing of payments in accordance with applicable contract terms. To succeed as an Accounts Payable Manager, you should be focused on optimizing department processes and building lasting relationships with others within and outside of the business. You should be knowledgeable, analytical, and decisive with excellent leadership and communication skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Setting and facilitating the achievement of department objectives. Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating accounts payable staff members. Overseeing routine department activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time. Developing, implementing, and improving policies and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency. Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders. Maintaining precise records of all vendor payments. Responsible for paying and keeping record of all invoices. Keeping track of all company credit card spending and making payments on credit accounts. Analyzing all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy. Preparing and mailing all required tax documents. Researching and approving new vendors and creating new vendor accounts. Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management and government agencies. Monitoring tax liabilities and ensuring tax liabilities are paid on time. Working collaboratively with various departments to perform accounting audits. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Solid knowledge of accounting and management principles and accounts payable procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with computers and software skills. Strong planning and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze information and processes. Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships. Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation. Ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed. Strong communication and organizational skills. Distinctly self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Skills:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, general knowledge of computer use and typing/10 key. Viewpoint Application experience preferred. Previous experience with sales and use tax in the construction industry is a plus. Certificates & Licenses:

SKILLS & ABILITIES Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management, or a related field &/or minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in accounts payable. Experience:

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in accounts payable. Other Requirements:

Must have the ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening. Dress code is business casual. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Other Physical Requirements:

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (hard hat, eye & ear protection, safety vest, gloves, dust mask or respirator, fall protection gear, etc.). WORK ENVIRONMENT Office environment.
