Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the AP function. This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice entry, approvals, payments, and reconciliations. Ensure proper coding of invoices to jobs, cost codes, and general ledger accounts. Manage subcontractor and vendor payments, ensuring compliance with contract terms and lien waiver requirements. Maintain accurate records of AP transactions and support month-end and year-end close processes. Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure proper documentation. Monitor cash flow and forecast AP obligations. Develop and implement AP policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including 1099 reporting. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and reports. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of AP experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint Vista, Procore, or similar). Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Compensation and Benefits
Compensation may include discretionary bonuses, and employees can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
