The Division of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Cincinnati Children's is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor research faculty to join a multidisciplinary team focused on clinical care and research for children and adolescents with endocrine conditions. About the Division

The Division of Diabetes and Endocrinology is nationally recognized for leadership in care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes, metabolic bone diseases, thyroid cancer, growth and puberty disorders, and complex conditions such as Turner syndrome, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and endocrine complications of childhood cancer therapy. Our faculty are at the forefront of clinical excellence and innovation, advancing standards of care through quality improvement initiatives. We have a robust research infrastructure supporting a dynamic portfolio of clinical, translational, and basic science investigations. Faculty members are widely published in high-impact journals and have leadership roles in clinical practice guidelines. Their scholarly contributions have influenced the advancement of endocrine care and research nationally and internationally. Links to recent work:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31514194/ This is a physician-scientist research position. The ideal candidate will direct innovative and independent research broadly relevant to endocrinology. The candidate will divide effort between patient care and academic activities. The amount of research effort will vary from 40-70%, depending on strengths and research plans. Clinical responsibilities will account for the remaining time and will include outpatient clinics and inpatient service. Qualifications

Have an MD/DO or MD/PhD and be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology

Have a track record of research including peer-reviewed publications

Be willing to supervise the inpatient consultation service

Participate in the training, education and mentoring of fellows, residents and students

Provide outpatient diabetes and endocrine care at the Main Campus and satellite locations

Those trained in Medicine and Pediatrics are also encouraged to apply
