Spanish Analytical Linguist - Nationwide Location: Nationwide Security Clearance: Public Trust Schedule: This is an as Needed Part-Time Essential Services Position which will require you to work day and/or night shifts to include weekends and holidays. This position is subject to the Service Contract Act and is classified as non-exempt, which means you will be eligible for overtime. Hourly: $34-$40/hr. Contingent upon award. About the Company

Our Linguists are responsible for performing real-time transcriptions of sensitive material from Spanish to English; collecting, analyzing, identifying, and decoding colloquialisms and slang terms; extracting pertinent information and communicating that information to law enforcement agents. The linguist will transcribe source documents and recordings from storage media, including audiocassettes, videocassettes, or digital media. Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Listen to oral and written intercepts or pre-recorded communications in Spanish and provide verbal and written synopsis and transcriptions as applicable per project. Relate all pertinent information to the Client when supporting a live project. Contribute to a master list of slang words and codes used by a group or organization for the project duration. Maintain a voice library for the duration of the project. Transcribe and translate pertinent calls and documents as assigned by supervisor. Produce court-ready transcriptions of calls, chats, and documents following the required format. Use the reference tools created during the project. Transcribe a minimum of 16 minutes of recorded conversation in an 8-hour day. Operate specialized software equipment provided by the government, including JSI voice box, Pen-link, Comverse, and other equipment at the assigned site. Maintain daily log of productivity. Perform related duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Minimum Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years’ professional experience OR Associate degree plus five (5) years’ experience OR High School Diploma plus seven (7) years’ experience. Minimum of one (1) year of transcription experience in Spanish. U.S. Citizenship required. Candidate may be subject to government background investigation and eligibility to access classified information. Knowledge of Spanish colloquial terms and expressions; familiarity with SMS language, social media, and Webchat. Excellent verbal and written skills in Spanish, with correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to meet contract requirement of a score of 3 or better on a third-party Language Assessment (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing) in English and Spanish. Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with management and law enforcement personnel. Ability to prioritize, manage time, meet deadlines, and work in a team. Ability to take technical direction and feedback from various sources. Typing speed of 45 words per minute. Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance Favorable credit check for cleared positions Successful background investigation and drug screen U.S. Citizenship Residency requirement: lived in the U.S. for the past 3 out of 5 years, consecutively Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Mobility to attend meetings with managers and employees. Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time. Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time. Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
