Join the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) as a Senior Policy Analyst (Program Specialist VI). We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill this position, which involves developing and implementing public policy to positively impact millions of current and future Medicaid members. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a fast learner, and has strong critical thinking and communication skills. They will work collaboratively as part of a team and independently, and have experience in a field related to long-term services and supports (LTSS) preferred. Responsibilities

Monitor and track progress of initiatives to bring Medicaid HCBS programs into compliance with the HCBS Settings Rule. Conduct research and analysis on policy issues related to LTSS in Texas Medicaid. Participate in workgroups and meetings as a subject matter expert. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on assigned Medicaid programs. Develop high-quality written project updates, summaries, and reports. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, with a Master’s degree preferred. Experience or education in a field focusing on healthcare, public health, state government, or social work. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise documents.
