Prepare income and withholding tax projections related to real property dispositions. Prepare year-end tax projections for the Company general partners and select LP investors. Communicate regularly with outside CPA firms regarding the preparation and delivery of Schedule K-1s and tax returns, tax payments, extensions, and tax notices. Review K-1s and tax returns prepared by CPA firms and prepare tax forms and tax elections as needed. Prepare annual schedules to reconcile the estimated to actual tax withholding for investors. Prepare budgets and process annual partnership expenses for real estate entities. Review Personal Property Tax Returns and payments. Review, research, and respond to tax notices and other various tax issues that may arise for property, partnership, and corporate entities. Assist with REIT and TRS elections, quarterly REIT testing, and reviewing testing memos prepared by the CPA firms. Work with Investor Relations to respond to investor questions related to withholding and tax documents, including Schedule K-1s, 8805s, 1042-S forms, and 1099s. Work with Property, Partnership, and Corporate Accountants to answer questions related to tax payments, refunds, filing fees or CPA firm invoices. Assist with research and tax structuring related to property acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations. Assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required 2-4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience required Public Accounting experience highly preferred Experience with partnership taxation (Form 1065, Schedule K-1) required.
