Our client is a dynamic and growing real estate firm with a diverse portfolio of properties and investments. They are seeking a motivated
Senior Accountant
to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while gaining exposure to complex real estate transactions and financial reporting. This position does require individuals to work onsite in the Perimeter area so please keep that in mind while applying.
Overview Senior Accountant role focusing on financial statements, GAAP compliance, and collaboration with property managers and leadership across the real estate portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
Partner with property managers and leadership to analyze financial performance across the portfolio.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
Contribute to audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1–4 years of professional accounting experience; public accounting experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software (Yardi, MRI, or similar) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Aspiring CPA or currently pursuing CPA designation highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
