We are seeking a Managing/Senior Principal Consultant to provide expert MySQL database administration and engineering support. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing MySQL solutions, performing database migrations, and ensuring high performance and security across enterprise environments. Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive MySQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and upgrades (versions 5.x and 8.x). Design and develop MySQL stored procedures to support business requirements. Lead database migration projects and troubleshoot complex issues. Administer user accounts, backups, and table spaces to maintain data integrity and security. Monitor server performance and conduct routine health checks, tuning, and optimizations. Interpret customer requirements to inform database design, modeling, and migration strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Maintain documentation for system configurations, migration processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years' experience in Oracle MySQL administration and engineering. Extensive background in database design, modeling, and migration. Proven expertise in installing, configuring, and upgrading MySQL servers. Skilled in developing stored procedures and optimizing database performance. Experience with account management, backup strategies, and table space administration. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience. COMPTIA Security+ certification required. Strong independent work ethic and excellent communication skills. Role Expectations

Analyze detailed requirements and develop robust designs for MySQL database solutions. Provide implementation services, including custom extensions and configurations to support unique business processes. Perform system optimization, performance tuning, and assist in capacity planning. Conduct proactive analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks during implementation and operations. Ensure high availability, security, and compliance across all database environments.
