Note: This position requires employees to work in a hybrid model (some in-office in New York City, some remote) at our client’s NYC office.

The qualified candidate for this position must have a J.D. and at least 3 years of employment law litigation experience.

Job Description
Represent employees in employment litigation, including discrimination, retaliation, wage/hour, and leave-related claims
Draft and respond to demand letters, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs
Appear before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies (EEOC, NYSDHR, DOL)
Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and settlement conferences
Manage individual caseloads from intake through resolution while collaborating closely with partners
Contribute to the firm’s strategic growth in the New York market
Qualifications
J.D. and admission to the
New York Bar
(admission in MA, CT, or NJ a plus)
Minimum
3 years of employment law litigation experience , preferably plaintiff-side
Proven ability to manage all phases of litigation, from drafting to trial preparation
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Demonstrated commitment to protecting employee rights and advancing workplace fairness
