About The Position Responsible for full-cycle processing of weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. This includes maintaining employee records across all applicable platforms, reviewing and verifying timecards through Procore, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and distributing checks. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and employee experience. Payroll Maintain employee files across multiple platforms, ensuring each is accurately updated expeditiously. Review and verify timecards, identifying and correcting errors using edit lists and exception reports. Resolve timecard discrepancies in collaboration with project teams. Generate weekly paychecks and ensure timely processing. Prepare and process off-cycle checks as needed. Print, run, and distribute payroll checks. Transmit positive pay and ACH files through online banking. Process wage garnishments and employment verifications confidentially. Support multi-state and inter-company payroll processing and ensure compliance with varying state regulations. Prepare and file local, state, and federal payroll taxes. Union reporting and compliance. SAIF (Oregon workers' compensation insurance) reporting and collaboration. Collaborate closely with the Seattle Payroll team to ensure mutual support. Other Accounting Duties Assist with payroll-related audits (union, 401(k), etc). Assist with processing of credit card transactions and expense reimbursements in Concur and Spectrum. Other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications And Experience Minimum of 3 years full-cycle payroll processing, preferably in a construction environment, and must have multi-state experience. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax filings, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Familiarity with union payroll and reporting requirements. Experience with workers’ compensation and unemployment claims. Spectrum, Procore, and UKG experience preferred, not required.
