Payroll Specialist
to join their team and support all payroll activities, primarily focusing on employees in Oregon and Washington. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role is essential for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll across a multi-state organization. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and is committed to maintaining organized records and upholding compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Process all aspects of the bi-weekly payroll cycle, including importing final timecard hours and processing data into the payroll application.
Maintain employee payroll files for a multi-state organization, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
Handle the accurate processing of garnishments and verify appropriate tax withholdings.
Prepare and distribute various payroll reports on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Process off-cycle checks, historical edits, and final pay for terminating employees when required.
Manage the processing of union dues reporting and payments.
Assist with the processing of bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly bonus/incentive payouts.
Support the Payroll Manager with quarter-end and year-end tasks, including prior quarter adjustments.
Answer general HR and payroll-related inquiries or route them to the appropriate team members.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience processing payroll, ideally in a multi-state environment (Oregon and Washington preferred).
Strong working knowledge of payroll processes and timecard record management.
Excellent attention to detail, critical evaluation, and data analysis skills.
Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and team members.
Location & Compensation Location: Wilsonville, OR - Hybrid flexibility
Salary: $62,400 - 68,640
