ABOUT THE POSITION
The
Staff Accountant
plays a key part in producing accurate, timely financial statements for the company, its subsidiaries, and related entities. The ideal candidate brings proven accounting experience along with the drive to grow with a fast-paced firm. This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Post daily cash receipts (ACHs, wires, checks) accurately and on time Complete monthly client billing for assigned accounts with precision and consistency Prepare journal entries including reclasses, prepaid, accrual, and intercompany to support timely close Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet accounts with full supporting documentation Resolve discrepancies by taking initiative to identify and correct balancing issues Provide backup support for accounts payable, vendor payments, mail sorting, and other related processing to ensure continuity Assist with collection efforts to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding balances Deliver superior customer service to both internal and external partners Drive efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements and keeping SOPs current Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the Sr. Accounting Manager, Controller, or CFO PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with strong academic foundation in GAAP principles 2+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced, professional environment with proven ability to meet tight deadlines Proven accuracy and attention to detail in cash posting, billing, and account reconciliations Strong ownership mindset with initiative to resolve discrepancies and continuously improve processes Ability to manage sensitive financial data with professionalism, discretion, and compliance standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills (LOOKUPs, PivotTables, IF, Index Match) to streamline reporting and analysis Solid understanding of debits, credits, and journal entry preparation to support timely and accurate month-end close Organizational and time management skills that enable balancing multiple priorities while delivering error-free work ERP experience required, with NetSuite strongly preferred (Sage, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics also considered) Seniority level : Associate Employment type : Full-time Job function : Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries : Advertising Services and Marketing Services Imaginuity is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
