The Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University seeks applicants for a tenure-earning position in Marketing. The Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University invites applications for a tenure-earning position in Marketing. All fields and specialties considered. Teaching load for the Kelce College of Business is normally a 3/3 load. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate potential for research, consistent with the mission of the college, and the ability to write and publish in peer reviewed academic journals. A summer teaching contract is generally available as is a summer research stipend for Kelce faculty.
Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in Marketing or closely related field (ABD considered). Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching along with the ability and desire to develop a scholarly research program commensurate with the expectations of an AACSB-accredited institution. Teaching responsibilities will include marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in both face-to-face and online modalities. Additional expectations include mentoring students, active involvement in professional organizations, service to the university, college and community, and commitment to student success. Other service duties may include advising student organizations, participating in recruitment and retention efforts, and providing support to other Kelce initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching undergraduate and graduate marketing courses in multiple modalities (face-to-face, online, hybrid).
Conducting academic research publishable in academic journals.
Service
College and university. May include (but not limited to) advising student organizations, mentoring students, serving on university and college committees, aiding in recruiting and retention efforts. Professional organizations and activities.
Education and Experience Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire PhD in Marketing (or a related field) from an accredited institution of higher learning; candidates with ABD status. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the collegiate level in face-to-face mode. Ability to establish a research agenda. Preferred Education and Experience – Evidence of undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring. Documentation of cross-disciplinary collaboration (e.g., research, curricular development, service). Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching online courses. Willingness to develop courses (any modality) to add to the established course curriculum. Job Type:
