Overview

The College of Business and Engineering at Wilkes University invites applicants for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Finance in the Department of Finance, Accounting and Management of the Jay S. Sidhu School of Business & Leadership. The Sidhu School is accredited by ACBSP and AACSB. The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and graduate finance courses. The graduate courses are taught in accelerated, online format as well as face to face. Faculty expectations include scholarly activity with publications in quality peer reviewed journals, service to the school, university, and community, and mentoring traditional undergraduate students in finance. The faculty member will supervise/conduct related field research and will be responsible for mentoring traditional undergraduate students; and will offer services to the school, university and community. Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses (graduate courses taught in accelerated online format and face-to-face). Engage in scholarly activity with publications in quality peer‑reviewed journals. Provide service to the School, University, and community. Mentor traditional undergraduate students interested in finance and supervise/conduct related field research. Demonstrate an understanding of learning and motivation, and the ability to assess, advise, and mentor learners with consideration of individual differences in ability, personality, and interests. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and program goals. Qualifications

Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, or a closely related field, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD will be considered if they will complete their Ph.D. prior to employment. Application Instructions
