Accounts Payable Clerk

Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing payments to individuals, banks, institutions, and others, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive invoices and check requests, review paperwork, and contact relevant personnel for missing documentation. Post invoices into the D365 Business Central ERP Accounting System.

Prepare a weekly AP report every Monday and process checks, including printing, backing up, stamping, paying, and mailing them.

Send emails and make/receive phone calls related to accounts payable activities.

Receive and sort internal mail deliveries.

Review and process Aid & Assistance applications.

Review and post credit card charges from American Express (American Executive, Amex Airplane, & Amex Mission).

Assist the AP Supervisor and Controller with any assigned tasks.

Prepare expense reports as needed.

Assist walk-in vendors with payment status and issue checks.

Mail checks and file invoices appropriately.

Respond to payment inquiries from other departments and external entities.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors.

Qualifications:

Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Education/Experience: Associate's degree in Accounting, pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting, or 5 years of Accounts Payable experience.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of Word processing, Spreadsheet software, and Inventory software.

Spiritual Qualifications: Commitment to the Church’s vision, values, and beliefs; active participation in King Jesus International Ministry; being a born-again Christian aligning with Biblical principles; understanding of the spiritual leadership role within the church context.

Non-Profit Experience: Preferred.
