Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to lead core financial operations and drive continuous improvement across our accounting processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and is passionate about building scalable systems that support business growth. Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate financial statements and maintain general ledger integrity. Lead monthly and annual close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries. Maintain accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance. Oversee billing, commissions, and revenue recognition processes. Manage inventory accounting and collaborate on variance analysis. Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and scalability. Support budgeting, forecasting, and lease accounting compliance (ASC 842). Provide financial insights for business decisions and board reporting. Lead accounting projects and system implementations. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate contract and revenue treatment. Oversee accounts payable and fixed asset accounting. Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and filings. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 2+ years of experience working in public accounting, as well as 2+ years of experience working in healthcare or life sciences. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate across departments.
