Description and Requirements General Description:

Manage 10 to 20 large and complex Commercial Lines insurance accounts as the day-to-day client contact. May occasionally work with an Account Manager on the largest and most complex accounts. Activities include new and renewal marketing, fielding questions and requests, and coverage review. Assist Sales Executives and provide guidance to Account Representatives and/or Account Managers. Responsibilities: Provide proactive, personalized support to high-touch, complex Commercial Lines clients. Offer strong insurance technical expertise to clients and internal teams. Market and place client Commercial Lines insurance renewals: Prepare client applications with assistance from Account Reps. Select appropriate carriers for market pricing. Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage options. Recommend insurance programs to clients. Manage renewal expirations to prevent coverage lapses. Negotiate with carriers on behalf of clients. Process policies, endorsements, and audits as needed. Support cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accounts. Represent client interests in internal strategy meetings. Delegate administrative tasks to Account Reps. Oversee and guide account management on complex accounts. Respond promptly and professionally to underwriters’ questions. Maintain high accuracy in agency management systems. Attend face-to-face client meetings regularly, with or without Sales Executives. Interact frequently with carriers and underwriters. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 15+ years experience in a Commercial Lines agency; college degree preferred. Expertise in Property & Casualty insurance. Must hold a Property & Casualty license. Industry designations like ARM, CIC, CPCU are strongly preferred. Proficient with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Sagitta / ImageRight is a plus. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision. Stay informed on industry trends, technology, and best practices. Why USI?
