Salary: $5,531.00 - $7,443.00 Monthly

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity. This position is an entry-level opportunity working with the Engineering Division's Rights-of-Way Program, focusing on Easements, Licenses, Permits, and other land management agreements supporting both Division and Region Staff. The role will perform quality control and assist in other duties as assigned, including research into land transactions, property rights, and land ownership.

Responsibilities

Document tracking, including assisting with routing of documents for signature

Data entry into complex databases

Quality Control

GIS Data Entry

Document Scanning

Quality Assurance

Document Closeout

Assisting in Public Disclosure Requests

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position, including real estate, arboriculture, forestry, urban forestry, rights-of-way, legal studies, project management, or government administration AND one (1) or more years of experience as a Property and Acquisition Specialist 2 or equivalent; OR two (2) or more years of experience in a field relevant to the position; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and public records retention requests.

Critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve issues.

Competent and effective communication and negotiation skills.

Proficient computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Special Requirements and Conditions of Employment

In-Office: Professional Office Environment (desks, cubicles, conference rooms, records vault) with traditional seated-at-desk or standing-at-desk workstation.

Occasional travel.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree involving major study in business or public administration, real estate, economics, accounting, or geodetic science, or related field.

Real Estate Agent/Broker experience.

Real Estate Title/Escrow Company experience.

GIS/Geo-Data Software experience.
