Our experienced Claims professionals handle complex claims with excellence, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement. You will work with your manager, fellow Claims Specialists, claim consultants and outside vendors to drive files to resolution and collaborate with Regional Claims Practice Leaders and the Underwriting team to achieve the best outcomes for AXA XL and its clients. What You’ll Be DOING Managing assigned claims across multiple jurisdictions, setting case strategy in partnership with Regional Claims Practice Leaders, Claims Legal and Claims management. Proactively managing external counsel and setting litigation strategies when engaged. Coordinating and managing communication with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., underwriting, brokers, reinsurers, external vendors) to ensure the highest level of customer service. Consulting with Regional Claims Practice Leaders on Large Losses to achieve the best client and AXA XL outcomes. Documenting claim activity in our claim system in accordance with Global Claim Handling Principles, including reserves management. Producing internal reports and identifying, monitoring and reporting on emerging liability and coverage trends. You will report to the Manager of Construction Professional Liability Claims. What You Will BRING Professional Liability claims experience: construction claims or professional liability construction claims, or similar experience in the construction or design professional field. Experience assessing and managing coverage issues and handling high-exposure, complex claims. Demonstrated experience negotiating and settling complex files. Excellent communication: strong verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders at various levels. Collaborative approach: ability to build productive relationships with insureds, brokers, claim handlers, underwriters and legal counsel; capable of working with a virtual team. Ethics: integrity and professionalism in all responsibilities. Results focus: proactive, able to prioritize multiple work streams without sacrificing quality; acts with urgency. Intellectual curiosity: willingness to learn and continuously improve technical skills. JD preferred.
