Compensation & Location
• Pay Range: $99.00 – $111.00 per hour, based on experience and internal equity
• Work Type: Onsite, 5 days in office

Position Summary
We are seeking a Civil or Structural Engineer to lead structural and line design for transmission and distribution assets. You will serve as the go-to expert for PLS-based modeling and foundation design, ensure QA/QC and safety compliance, and partner closely with field teams on construction support and emergency restoration.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural and line design analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Caisson across T&D.
Ensure quality and safety compliance through QA/QC processes and site-specific standards.
Review, design, and evaluate pole foundations for new builds and existing infrastructure.
Support construction and field crews to resolve design issues, conduct inspections, and assist with emergency restoration due to wildfires, storms, or incidents.
Maintain and update design specifications; collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to transmission engineering staff and junior engineers.
What You’ll Work On
Transmission and distribution line design, foundations, and standards-driven upgrades.
Field-driven problem solving, inspections, and rapid response for restoration events.
Cross-team initiatives to improve specifications, safety, and QA/QC practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
7+ years in transmission and/or distribution line engineering design.
Utility experience applying California GO95, NESC, and ASCE codes and guidelines.
Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, AutoCAD.
Strong communication, stakeholder partnership, and mentoring capabilities.
Desired Skills
3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience.
Stable work history with large enterprise organizations.
