JCCC is looking for applicants for a part-time faculty adjunct position in the Chemistry Department. The ideal candidate would be expected to instruct students in lecture and/or lab for either Principles of Chemistry, General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II or Organic Chemistry. The ideal candidate would need to be able to teach face-to-face starting in January 2026 for the spring semester. The teaching assignment for spring 2026 includes a face to face Principles of Chemistry course (lecture and lab on MWF late mornings/early afternoons). Master\'s degree in Chemistry or related discipline with 18 hours of graduate level coursework in Chemistry. Computer literacy including ability to communicate and develop teaching materials and enter grades electronically. Demonstrate familiarity with the use of appropriate computer software. Demonstrate fluency in written and oral communications. Demonstrate familiarity with the use and care of small equipment like pH meters, conductivity meters and spectrophotometers. One year of college-level teaching experience in Chemistry. Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in Chemistry or related discipline with 18 hours of graduate level coursework in Chemistry. Three years of college-level teaching experience in Chemistry.
