Position Details Department: Academic Affairs

Exemption Status: Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs
Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary The Electrical Technology program is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Assistant Professor. The candidate would teach residential electrical construction wiring methods, which include relevant NEC codes, safe practices using tools and materials, and residential blueprint reading. Courses are taught in laboratory and lecture settings. Class meeting times are during the evening hours with some online work completed outside of class.
Required Qualifications
7 years of relevant electrical construction experience and current Journeyman Electrician license.
5 years of relevant electrical construction experience and current Journeyman Electrician license with Associates level degree.
Required Skills
Demonstrate current electrical and construction industry knowledge.
Ability to use various presentation methods to lecture and demonstrate within a class or lab environment to diverse audiences.
Be capable of working safely with a variety of industrial tools and installation operations in a lab environment.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of relevant electrical construction experience with Bachelors level degree or higher.
Current Master Electrician license.
3 years of teaching or training experience within the construction industry.
