Overview This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison.

Salary: $145,000 - $175,000/year

Work location : Hybrid, primarily remote with ad hoc on-site work, frequency TBD.

This position serves as a Gunnison employee in support of a federal cybersecurity operations support contract. Join our exceptional group of cybersecurity pros!

Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub, ensuring robust security operations.

Design and integrate hybrid cloud/on-premises architecture with AWS GovCloud or FedRAMP environments and on-premises security tools.

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

Implement DevSecOps practices and integrate security scanning into build and release pipelines.

Optimize AWS services for cost efficiency, including budgeting, billing analysis, and strategic resource rightsizing.

Conduct continuous monitoring, log ingestion, and compliance reporting for cloud security operations.

Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams addressing security, infrastructure, DevOps, and application development.

Requirements

8+ years in IT infrastructure and security operations.

5+ years of direct AWS services management experience.

Hands-on experience with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST).

AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional preferred).

At least one security-related certification (CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty).

Desired Qualifications

Experience with other Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).

Additional certifications in cloud security or compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Advanced degree in a related field emphasizing cloud security and management.

Clearance Requirement Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements. Gunnison's total compensation package also includes bonus and profit-sharing opportunities, depending on company and employee performance. Available employee benefits include:
