HDR is looking for an Electrical Engineering Leader to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) Business Group in Folsom or Walnut Creek, CA. They combine deep engineering expertise with leadership across cross‑discipline teams to positively impact the success of the business. Overview

The Electrical Engineering Leader will be responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise, supervising and mentoring, and producing electrical systems design for markets including Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Federal, Resources, Transportation, Health Care, Technology, and Commercial. They will manage the Northern California BES electrical team’s operations, including staff development, workflow and forecasting, proposals and level of effort, scheduling, profitability, morale, quality control, and will act as a technical lead on projects alongside staff management responsibilities. They will recruit and develop technical personnel to grow the electrical section and will coordinate services with other disciplines. They will work directly with clients on project production and related issues and will implement, monitor, and support company policy. As a Technical Lead, they will coordinate with a multidiscipline design team throughout the project life cycle—from planning through construction documents and construction administration. They will develop construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, and review shop drawings during construction. The candidate should be self‑motivated, collaborative, and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound electrical designs. Responsibilities

Take responsibility for area coordination, monitor and improve technical competencies of staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers within business class plans Participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations Collaborate on business class efforts with area operations, marketing and project management Participate in practice groups and projects to improve standards and ensure QA/QC Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and plan implementation Work cooperatively with other area leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers Assist in operations of the production section, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support May function as an Assistant Project Manager and assist in production on projects Assist with staff development and management of technical service functions; coordinate with other sections Involve in marketing planning, proposals and interviews Engage with industrial and public clients on marketing and project production Ensure work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management Implement, monitor and support company policy Assist in selecting, training, developing and managing technical personnel Collaborate with National Directors and marketing staff on local and national efforts Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications

Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR expertise and brand Master's degree in electrical engineering Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firms Electrical PE licensure in California Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Proficiency with SKM electrical system modeling software Proficiency with lighting modeling software such as Visual Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a professional field (Architecture, Engineering or closely related) 10 years of experience Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values Maintains professional/engineering registration and related technical experience Experience in development and management of diverse teams Works cooperatively with other area leaders and managers on business class efforts Active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture What We Believe

The expected compensation range for this position is $156,464.00 – $223,520.00 annually, depending on skills, experience, education and location. Primary Location
