We’re seeking an
experienced Electrical Engineer
with a background in
power transmission and substation protection systems . This role focuses on designing, programming, and troubleshooting
protective relays
for substations, transformers, transmission lines, and other high-voltage equipment. You’ll support new capital projects, ensure compliance with
NERC standards , and provide technical expertise to keep the grid reliable and secure. Responsibilities
Develop and update protection settings for substations and transmission systems Run studies, calculations, and relay coordination using ASPEN, SEL, and CymTCC software Support troubleshooting and QA for protection schemes Ensure compliance with NERC standards and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with planning, operations, and project teams Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related) Utility or power industry experience (transmission/substations preferred) Strong knowledge of protective relays (electromechanical + microprocessor-based) Familiarity with ASPEN, SEL AcSELerator, CymTCC software Understanding of NERC compliance standards (PRC, CIP, FAC, etc.) Job details
