Overview
The Ohio State University Department of Radiation Oncology at OSU Wexner Medical Center – Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Institute seeks a Radiation Oncologist to function as Clinical Director. Academic rank and track are commensurate with the candidate’s record and experience. Position Overview
The Clinical Director reports to the Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology and has oversight of all department activities, including main campus and breast center clinical services, quality of care, resource utilization, protocol and practice guideline development and review, and supervision of Residents and Fellows. The Director ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards (Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA, and other bodies) and promotes collaboration across clinical, research, and administrative teams. The role represents the department in institutional and external engagements and drives initiatives to advance patient outcomes, faculty development, and program excellence. As Physician-Clinical, the incumbent provides licensed medical care including diagnosis, treatment (including pre/post-surgical care where appropriate), case management, and clinical research. The Physician manages complex situations and must be competent in technical, clinical, and, where appropriate, surgical skills, as well as cognitive and interpersonal abilities. The Physician practices within the Medical Center’s standards and aligns with key results areas of the Medical Center. Department Overview
