Pharmacy Operations Manager, Regional Infusion Center
role at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Location: Richardson, Fort Worth, and Redbird sites. Responsibilities
Manages operational activities, priorities, and problems; oversees technician staffing and workloads. Provides status reports to pharmacy management and communicates issues, concerns, and suggestions. Identifies opportunities for cost containment and promotes cost-effective utilization of resources. Assists with budget preparation and daily financial activity related to high-cost drugs. Oversees pharmacy distribution processes and develops accurate and efficient distribution policies and procedures. Oversees annual controlled substance inventory and quarterly purchasing inventories. Supports implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the departmental strategic plan and standards of care. Eliminates or reduces predictable sources of billing, transcription, or dispensing errors. Mentors staff in decision-making, problem identification, and process improvement actions. Reports drug purchase history information, NF usage, and unit doses for financial analysis and cost-saving initiatives. Oversees payroll processes and staffing efficiency; maintains high visibility through departmental participation and communication. Participates in interview, selection, hiring, performance evaluations, and documentation of commendations or disciplinary actions. Coordinates staff orientation, development, training, PTCB certification, and TSBP registration. Monitors pharmacy information systems; coordinates system upgrades with vendors and IR; processes formulary additions to the CDM. Assists with charge audits, verifies accuracy, and ensures timely billing. Drives staff development, supports process improvements, and contributes to patient safety and satisfaction. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree or PharmD from ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy. Minimum 3 years of pharmacy management experience or completion of a HealthSystem Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) resident program; English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire; eligible for Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure within 30 days of hire. Benefits
