Description
We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Psychiatry. In this role, you will provide psychiatric care to patients, diagnose and treat mental illnesses, and promote mental health and well-being. Your expertise will help improve the quality of life for individuals with mental health conditions.
As an MD/DO Psychiatry professional, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and offer therapy to patients. Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations to assess patients\' mental health needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings.
Prescribe and monitor medication to manage mental health symptoms.
Provide therapy and counseling to patients individually or in group settings.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Stay updated on the latest developments and research in the field of psychiatry.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Psychiatry or eligibility for board certification.
Valid state medical license to practice Psychiatry.
Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatments, and medications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
Empathy and compassion towards patients dealing with mental health challenges.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Schedule: 5x 8-hour shifts or 4x 10-hour shifts per week
No call shifts
Additional Details Setting: Outpatient clinic
Patient Volume: 12-14 per day
Patient Population: Adults
1 hour for new patients, 25 minutes for follow-ups
TMS experience preferred
Current Team Structure: 1 MD, 4 PMHNPs, MAs, TMS technicians, full office support staff
EMR: AdvancedMD
Must be board-certified
