MMCAP is a national cooperative group purchasing organization (GPO) for government healthcare facilities. MMCAP was established in 1985 and has over 30,000 member facilities across all 50 states. MMCAP's primary function is to provide a full range of pharmaceuticals to its participating facilities. It also has contracts for vials and containers, medical supplies, drug testing, returned goods processing, influenza vaccine, dental products and services, and dozens of other lines of business.
MMCAP is operated within the State of Minnesota, Office of State Procurement (OSP). The mission of MMCAP is to ensure best value for pharmaceuticals and healthcare products and services to government facilities across the nation through executing contracts that leverage aggregated member volume to driver deeper discounts. In this position, you will proactively inform member facilities and prospective members from every state in the United States about the MMCAP mission, programs, and products through internal and external communications; public relations; advertising and marketing strategies; graphic design of communications and marketing materials produced in-house; coordination of graphic design in externally produced materials; and coordination of audio/visual production for marketing and training. You will also serve as the primary contact and liaison for the annual National Member Conference by planning and coordinating all the activities associated with this event.
This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, additional onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Minimum Qualifications
The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position.
One (1) year of experience in marketing and communication, which includes at least one (1) of the following:
Development of marketing and communication materials,
Graphic development, and/or
Project coordination of multi-media marketing campaigns.
Experience in event planning that includes coordinating speakers, vendors, and other planning logistics and activities.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analysis sufficient to collect and analyze program-related data, program regulations/requirements, and procedural steps to expedite approval of program activities.
Ability to plan, create, and implement complex communications strategies that can be understood by non-technical audiences.
Proficiency with desktop publishing, graphic designs, video editing, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs.
Interpersonal, human relations, and communications skills to tactfully and professionally interact with a variety of audiences, suppliers, team members, and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree or higher in marketing, communications, public relations, or closely related field.
Knowledge around the subjects of pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
Knowledge of strategic communication and marketing principles.
Ability to build and demonstrate a shared vision to foster program success.
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Creative and innovative approaches and problem-solving.
Keep abreast of marketing trends and champion change that help meet business goals and objectives.
