Overview

Financial Technical Coordinator / Accounting Officer Coordinator position with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), DCYF Central Office MAPE, Budget Operations. Telework eligible within Minnesota with flexible hours options. Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Location: St. Paul. Salary range: $35.96 - $53.32 hourly; $75,084 - $111,332 annually. Responsibilities

Manage the roadmap for the division’s technical resources and serve as a leader with department-wide and statewide impact. Research, analyze, diagnose customer needs, advise management on implementing and integrating new technologies, and lead teams of business and technical staff. Set priorities and monitor progress. Support the Financial Operations Division (FOD) by maintaining and enhancing financial systems, data integrations, reporting tools, and internal IT processes. Serve as a liaison between Financial Operations and technical staff to ensure technical solutions address the needs of the division, the agency, and the public we serve. Serve as the division-wide point person and primary analyst for FOD application work requests, reviews, and prioritization. Act as Security Administrator for certain financial applications to manage access. Provide technical support for reporting and visualization, including analysis, design, development, and implementation of SWIFT Warehouse-based reports for DCYF functional staff, accountants, budget managers, and senior management. Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years of professional-level accounting, financial reporting, financial management, budgeting, and/or financial analysis experience. Experience must demonstrate: working with substantial budgets, advising management on budget processes; analyzing, interpreting, reconciling, and auditing complex financial data; reading, interpreting, and applying financial statutes, laws, regulations, and policies; leading large-scale projects; and excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related tools; and experience with financial reporting processes. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. Experience with State of Minnesota government financial systems (e.g., SWIFT). Proficiency in Access, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, and related software. Advanced experience with SWIFT, general ledger, billing, accounts receivable, fixed assets, decision support, and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Additional Requirements
