Controller or Director of Finance Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries for monthly and year-end close Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis Manage subscription-based revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 Track and reconcile deferred revenue accounts Review customer contracts for proper revenue treatment Coordinate with sales and operations to ensure accurate billing and revenue schedules Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA candidate preferred) 4+ years of accounting experience, including subscription revenue accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Experience in a technology or manufacturing environment is a plus Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
