Special Education Teacher
AB Staffing is looking for experienced Special Education Teachers for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university
Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in California
Proficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting special education
At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavior disorders and cognitive delays (preferred)
Ability to handle multiple tasks, stand or sit for extended periods, and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally

Caseload and classroom details vary by location. Recruitment Specialists will discuss specifics upon application to match your experience and skills. The contract runs through the 2025/2026 school year, 37.5 to 40 hours per week, following the district calendar.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:
Develop and implement engaging, effective lesson plans tailored to students' needs
Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and diverse learning styles
Maintain communication with parents and collaborate on learning strategies
Create a safe, positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior
Provide individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques
Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
Ensure compliance with regulations and complete documentation
Engage in professional development and collaborate with educators and specialists
Salary:
$2,700 – $3,028 per week DOE
