Special Education Teacher
AB Staffing is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for the 2025/2026 school year.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited college or university
Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in California
Proficiency in subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of local, state, and federal special education regulations and policies
At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavior disorders and cognitive delays (preferred)
Ability to handle multiple tasks, stand or sit for extended periods, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 40 pounds occasionally
Job Description:
Caseload and classroom type will vary based on location. Recruitment specialists will discuss details upon application to match you with a suitable classroom. The position is contracted through the 2025/2026 school year, with a 37.5 to 40-hour workweek aligned with the academic calendar.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to student needs
Adapting curriculum based on IEPs and learning styles
Maintaining communication with parents regarding student progress
Creating a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
Implementing behavior management strategies
Providing individualized and group instruction with specialized techniques
Assessing and tracking student progress, modifying instruction as needed
Ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining documentation
Collaborating with educators and specialists
Engaging in ongoing professional development
Salary:
$2,240.00 – $2,480.00/week
