Special Education Teacher
AB Staffing is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for the 2025/2026 school year.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in California.
Proficiency in the subject area, with experience in case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal special education regulations.
At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavioral and cognitive delays (preferred).
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, see and read printed and digital materials, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.

Contract duration: through the 2025/2026 school year, 37.5-40 hours per week, aligned with the academic calendar.
As a Special Education Teacher, your responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to students’ needs.
Adapting curriculum based on IEPs and diverse learning styles.
Maintaining communication with parents regarding student progress.
Creating a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.
Managing behavior and facilitating a productive classroom atmosphere.
Providing individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques.
Assessing and documenting student progress, and modifying instruction accordingly.
Collaborating with educators and specialists.
Engaging in professional development and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Salary:
$1,750 – $1,925 per week, DOE
