Overview
Faculty Positions in Microbiology at Penn State. The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology invites applications for multiple tenure-track assistant professor appointments in the broad area of microbiology, including bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and virology. The successful applicants will join a collaborative environment with access to genomic, microscopy, metabolomic, animal, and biosafety level 3 facilities, and will have opportunities to participate in centers of excellence within the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences. Qualifications
Ph.D. required Record of creative research accomplishments Research plan articulating future contributions to the field Strong commitment to teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in the practice and teaching of science Responsibilities and Expectations
Establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program. Engage in teaching and mentoring at undergraduate and graduate levels. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to departmental and institutional goals. Application Materials
