Job Summary We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME) Architect to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll be the technical leader and go-to person for all things ServiceNow, driving the architectural vision, designing robust solutions, and providing expert-level guidance. You'll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, efficient, and well-governed ServiceNow solutions. This position requires deep, hands-on expertise with the platform's core modules and a proven ability to lead and deliver enterprise-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the end-to-end architectural design and development of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives, IT strategy, and best practices.

Hands-on Development: Serve as a hands-on technical expert, configuring, customizing, and developing complex functionalities on the ServiceNow platform, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.

Technical Leadership:

Act as a technical advisor and mentor for developers and administrators, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and complex problem-solving.

Requirements Analysis:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and design documents.

Integration and Automation:

Design and implement integrations with third-party systems using various methods (REST, SOAP, etc.) and drive automation initiatives across the platform.

Platform Governance & Optimization:

Define and enforce architectural standards and governance models. Proactively identify and address issues related to platform performance, scalability, and security.

Strategic Roadmapping:

Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap for the ServiceNow platform, evaluating new features and recommending future enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

10+ years focused on hands-on ServiceNow development and architecture .

Deep Platform Expertise:

Extensive hands-on experience with ServiceNow's core platform and key modules, such as:

IT Service Management (ITSM):

Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Catalog Management.

IT Operations Management (ITOM):

Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management.

IT Asset Management (ITAM):

Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).

Configuration Management Database (CMDB):

Expertise in designing and maintaining CMDB and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in scripting languages (JavaScript, Glide) and ServiceNow APIs.

Proven experience with integrations (SOAP/REST Web Services, IntegrationHub).

Strong understanding of platform-level administration, including business rules, UI policies, ACLs, and client scripts.

Certifications:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

and

at least two Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)

certifications (e.g., CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM).

Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications:

ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) ,

Certified Application Developer (CAD), or other advanced ServiceNow certifications.

Experience:

Experience with additional ServiceNow modules like Workplace Service Delivery, GRC, HRSD, SecOps, or CSM.

Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL principles.
