The Player Progression Academy (PPA) • Location: Washington, DC / Bethesda, MD
The Player Progression Academy (PPA) is the premier youth sports organization in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, offering programs for athletes aged 2–18. Our mission is to create great experiences and promote holistic development through sports. With over 50 competitive soccer teams competing in USYS National League, we take pride in our passionate and skilled coaching staff.
We’re looking for experienced
soccer coaches
to join our premier coaching staff and work with our highest level players. If you’re passionate about developing young athletes, are committed to excellence, and thrive in a fun, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Plan & Lead : Coach 3 practices per week and league games/preseason scrimmages
Tournaments : Coach 2–6 tournaments annually based on age and skill level.
Team Communication : Maintain regular communication with parents and players.
Coach Development : Attend 4 annual in house coaching workshops
Team Development : Host team virtual or in‑person “Trace” game film classroom sessions with players
Uphold PPA Principles : Embrace our coaching values—be prepared, be a teacher, and foster positive development on and off the field.
Requirements
Experience : 3+ years of soccer coaching experience and game film analysis, with a proven ability to teach technical and tactical principles effectively.
Licensing : A minimum US Soccer
C License
(PPA covers 50% of further license costs).
Location : Candidates must be local to the Washington, DC/Bethesda, MD area or planning to relocate.
Skills : Strong communication, enthusiasm, and the ability to balance player development with competitive success.

is mandatory.
What We Offer
Competitive Pay : $13,000–$20,000 based on experience, team assignment, and tenure.
$2,500 signing bonus
