The primary responsibility of the
Payroll Coordinator
is to successfully prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for HCW. They are also responsible for all production and customer service tasks related to payroll for HCW, providing support to healthcare facilities, as well as the Sales/Billing and Accounts Receivable departments with payroll inquiries. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Verifying field employee in/out punches through the time and attendance system daily Answering all calls from employees pertaining to payroll Assisting Lead Payroll Coordinator with Wage Garnishment, W-4 changes, etc. Helping HCW view their paystubs Communicating with employees regarding specific payroll issues Assisting with billing and payroll reports Collecting orientation hours and meeting time hours to be paid each pay period Assisting with the audit process during payroll processing Reconciling issues or overages found during payroll Reporting notes on errors or corrections in AxisCare Accurately keying timesheets and payroll-related data within deadlines Entering new hires and terminating assignments as required Providing excellent customer service to HCWs, Sales, Billing, AR Departments, and facilities Auditing maintenance after payroll processing Processing payroll adjustments, including manual entries and wires Handling multi-state payroll entries Responding to payroll inquiries from HCWs and Recruiters Researching, resolving, and communicating resolutions Initiating, processing, and distributing manual checks and wires Researching issues related to taxation, W-2s, earnings, deductions, reimbursements, and bonuses Processing entries to correct payroll issues and ensure records accuracy Following up to collect missing timesheets Performing other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS:
2-3 years of payroll processing experience required Knowledge of multi-state payroll systems preferred Understanding of state and federal payroll laws Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Strong communication skills Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required Some college preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience WORK CONDITIONS:
Open work area in an office environment Must remain in a stationary position 80% of the work schedule Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with a calm demeanor and positive attitude during stressful situations Comfort with virtual learning, training, and engagement via Microsoft Teams and Zoom
