Job Description
The HR Generalist in Tracy, CA, will serve as the administrator for critical human resource functions and workforce management, including recruiting & onboarding, employee/labor relations, health & safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity & employee engagement, leave & attendance tracking, payroll support, attendance, performance management, and employee record keeping. The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in shaping the work culture, promoting employee engagement, and driving talent development to support a thriving and productive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Work with the Principal HRBP to develop HR standard work, governance, record keeping system, and leadership accountability mechanisms
Coach and assist supervisors and site leadership on HR policies, performance management, employee engagement, and adherence to state labor compliance
Full cycle recruiting and onboarding, for both direct hires and contract labor
With support from Principal HRBP, you will be responsible for employee record keeping in the HRIS (ADP), administration of all events along the employee lifecycle (hiring, corrective action, development, promotion, termination)
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience, ideally in a manufacturing or similar environment with hourly front-line employees
Knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws and experience with PAGA, prevailing wage, and other niche employment scenarios
Experience in a start-up environment where HR Policies and Procedures are still in the ‘forming stage’ with a track record of successful policy implementation
Ability to partner with operations; presence in the workplace during team working hours
Fluent Spanish speaker

Salary range: $72,500 - $90,000 annual base salary + annual performance bonus
