Tulane University . Summary The Budget and Administrative Coordinator II performs basic financial analyses and provides administrative support for the School of Social Work. This position processes financial transactions, maintains records, and supports HR functions including faculty and staff hiring, timekeeper responsibilities, and student employment. The position assists in preparing financial reports and analyses for management. It serves as Kronos timekeeper for the dean's office, processes faculty and staff hiring paperwork, and administers human resources functions such as recruitment, new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to contribute to department-specific business strategies. Ability to prepare financial reports and forecasts and develop data-based solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and courteously with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills, including prioritization to meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and follow-through, with a propensity to bring projects to closure. Ability to analyze solutions using technical experience. Strong computer skills, especially in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. Required Education And/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of directly related experience. OR High School Diploma and six years of directly related experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, or related fields. 2 years of experience in a university academic or research department.
