Position Summary
The Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting will serve as a key member of Flynn Hospitality’s leadership team, overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial strategy, accounting operations, and reporting. This individual will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure accuracy and compliance in financial management, and partner with senior leadership to drive growth and profitability. The Sr. Director will lead the finance and accounting teams, implement best practices, and develop scalable processes to support the company’s continued expansion. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
— Partner with the executive leadership team to align financial strategies with business objectives and long-term goals. Strategic Leadership
— Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making, investment opportunities, and growth initiatives. Strategic Leadership
— Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. Financial Management & Reporting
— Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and operational analyses. Financial Management & Reporting
— Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements. Financial Management & Reporting
— Manage audits, tax filings, and external reporting relationships. Accounting Operations
— Direct all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Accounting Operations
— Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial information. Accounting Operations
— Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leadership & Team Development
— Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team. Leadership & Team Development
— Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Leadership & Team Development
— Partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, and other corporate functions to support business performance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred. 12+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in hospitality, multi-unit, or service-driven industries strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, and accounting systems.
