Payroll Specialist
for an exciting opportunity with a global, high-growth client located in
San Diego, CA . This
hybrid
role offers the chance to work with a dynamic payroll and accounting team and contribute to the success of a thriving international organization. Position Overview:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing and administering payroll across multiple states and entities. This is a hands-on role that requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative professional. The position reports directly to the
Director of Global Payroll and Compensation . Key Responsibilities:
Process
multi-state semi-monthly payroll
for U.S. employees using
UltiPro
Post and reconcile
journal entries
and perform
balance sheet reconciliations
Enter payroll data and ensure accurate and timely processing
Reconcile
non-exempt timecards
using UltiPro Time & Attendance
Maintain payroll documentation and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from the payroll inbox with a 24-hour turnaround
Calculate and issue
manual paychecks
as needed
Assist with
international payroll coordination
and vendor updates
Support
ad hoc reporting
and special payroll-related projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
required
Multi-entity and multi-state payroll experience
is essential
Proficient in
UltiPro/UKG
payroll systems
Strong
Excel
and data management skills
Exceptional
attention to detail
and
organizational abilities
Excellent
communication and problem-solving
skills
Experience in
international payroll
and an
accounting background
is a plus
